Delete your Pianuance account

This page explains how to delete your account in Pianuance, the piano practice app by Holo Apps, and what happens to your data.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Pianuance on any device where you are signed in (iPhone, iPad, Android, desktop or the web app).
  2. Tap the round profile button at the top right (your initials), then tap your name.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away.

By email

Send an email to rubendewitte1998@gmail.com from the email address of your account (if you signed in with Apple and hid your address, tell us the relay address shown in your Apple ID settings). We delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and confirm by email.

What is deleted

  • Your account: email address, sign-in details and display name.
  • Your synced practice history, skills, settings and library list.
  • The files of pieces you imported or wrote, and their saved versions.
  • Your leaderboard results and test submission records.
  • Reports you made about names or teachers' notes.
  • Teacher studios you made, with their assignments and the pieces you shared in them; your memberships of other studios and your progress on their assignments.
  • Your Pro status in our database, and your customer record at our purchase service (RevenueCat).

What is kept

  • Data on your own devices (your library and practice history saved in the app) stays until you remove the app or clear its data.
  • Your subscription is not cancelled by deleting the account. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their policies.
  • Reports other users made about your display name or your notes are kept, without the link to your account.
  • We don't keep separate database backups at the moment, so deleted data is gone straight away. If we start keeping backups, deleted data can remain in them for at most 7 days.

Only some of your data?

You can delete imported pieces in the app, leave a studio, or sign out and keep using Pianuance on your device only. To have specific data deleted without deleting the account, email us at the address above. More in our privacy policy.
